Cemeteries

Working for both private and local government clients, Detail has designed and delivered multiple Cemeteries’ and Mausoleum projects nationwide. We have advanced some innovative design solutions to the growing issues of rising operational costs and land utilisation in cemeteries.

Springhill Cemetery

Design were appointed to design a multi-faith cemetery on the outskirts of Litchfield. The resulting design of the cemetery was developed to have a ‘light touch’, with a low intervention design that is ‘countryside in character’. The overall character of the proposal is naturalistic with built elements comprising the pavilions, car parking and access road subservient to the dominant landscape character.

Farnham Cemetery

Detail has been appointed to design and take through planning the master plan of a multi-faith cemetery in Farnham. Responsibilities include cemetery master planning, reception/facility building design, landscape architectural design and site planning.
